Day trip on São Miguel: all in one
Our tour begins with a stop at the Vista do Rei viewpoint providing picturesque views of the blue and green lake of Sete Cidades. Another beautiful crater lake awaits you in the neighboring mountain range - let`s venture up and enjoy the picturesque views of the Lagoa do Fogo. Ready for a bath? The Caldeira Velha natural park invites you to take a dip in the warm waters of a waterfall or just venture around. Our tour continues to the Santa Iria viewpoint providing picturesque views of the north coast. It's tea time! A visit to the Gorreana tea plantation and factory comes along with the opportunity taste two types of tea, black and green. On our way to Furnas, we stop at the Pico de Ferro viewpoint to enjoy magnificent views over the Furnas Valley. Once in the village of Furnas, let yourself be enchanted by volcanic fumaroles of different sizes. It's time to go for lunch and taste the delicious and famous Cozido das Furnas-stew, a traditional dish of the Azores, steam-cooked underground with volcanic heat. After lunch, we`ll head to Lake Furnas to have a look at the place where your stew was cooked and also take a walk near the beautiful lake. We`ll then return to Ponta Delgada along the south coast. The last stop of our tour will be the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Paz in Vila Franca do Campo, the first capital of São Miguel. Enjoy another beautiful view over the island and its southern coast.

Day trip on São Miguel: Sete Cidades and Lagoa do Fogo
Our tour begins with a visit to a traditional pineapple plantation, where the fruits are grown in greenhouses - and a tasting of pineapple liqueur. The picturesque viewpoint of Pico do Carvão in the west of the island provides beautiful views of both northern and southern coast of the island. Surrounded by lush green vegetation, the viewpoint of Vista do Rei at the volcanic complex of Sete Cidades, is the next item on our program. Enjoy magnificent views over the blue and green lagoon. Later, marvel at the impressive Lake of Santiago. Enjoy a visit to the picturesque town of Sete Cidades, where lunch is served in a regional restaurant. In the afternoon, our tour continues to the former whaling village of Capelas and a stop at the viewpoint of Pedras Negras provides views of the north coast of the island. After we`ll visit the historic center of the town of Ribeira Grande, located on the north coast of São Miguel. Our visit is rounded off by the tasting of liqueur in the regional liqueur factory – followed by a relaxing dip in the warm water of a waterfall of the Caldeira Velha nature reserve, if you wish. The last stop of our tour is the picturesque Lagoa do Fogo viewpoint and before we return to Ponta Delgada, we`ll have a fantastic view of the youngest and narrowest part of the island at Pico da Barrosa.

Day trip on São Miguel: Furnas
We start from Ponta Delgada and first stop in Vila Franca do Campo, the former capital of São Miguel, situated on the southern coast. Try the famous Queijada da Vila-pastry (a type of cheesecake), a true local specialty. In Furnas Valley, at the shore of its romantic lake and fumaroles, observe the cooking method of the tasty "Cozido das Furnas", a traditional dish of the Azores. A visit to the Terra Nostra Park with its rich vegetation provides the opportunity to enjoy a warm and relaxing thermal bath. After, get ready for your long-awaited lunch. Still in the village of Furnas, we`ll visit the Caldeiras, fumaroles and water pools with a mixture of hot and fresh water, some of them with medicinal properties. To enjoy the breathtaking view over the Furnas Valley, the viewpoint of Pico de Ferro will be the next item of our program. On the north coast, in the municipality of Ribeira Grande, a visit to the Gorreana tea plantation and factory provides interesting information and black and green tea for a tasting. At our last stop, the viewpoint of Santa Iria, enjoy magnificent views over the north coast of São Miguel.

Day trip on São Miguel: Nordeste
Your tour starts from Ponta Delgada towards the north coast with the first stop in Ribeira dos Caldeirões, part of the municipality of Nordeste. Let yourself be enchanted by a beautiful waterfall known as "Véu da Noiva" with its traditional watermill and beautiful gardens. After, two viewpoints, "Ponta do Sossego" and "Ponta da Madrugada", provide picturesque views over the eastern tip of the island. Lunch will be provided in the village of Povoação, the place where the first inhabitants of the island settled. In the afternoon, we`ll visit the town`s historic center and fishing port. The way back to Ponta Delgada leads along the south coast past Lake Furnas.
