On this guided half-day bike tour all about wine, you will feel like you are traveling back in time. On the approx. 20 km route, you will cycle through historic UNESCO World Heritage vineyards and historic wine villages with wine cellars ("adegas"), historic wine presses and distilleries. In between, the route leads along the beautiful and rocky coast of the geologically young island of Pico. Let yourself be enchanted by the countless dry stone walls, the protective walls for the vines and the houses of the historic wineries, built from the black basalt of Pico. You will stop in some of the wine villages and also enjoy the typical traditional food of the island of Pico. The menu includes spicy, home-made sausages such as "Morcela" and "Linguiça", the spicy paste "Malagueta da Terra", local honey ("Mel") and the so-called "Vinho de Cheiro", an aromatic house wine. Let yourself be whisked away on a tour full of wonderful impressions and flavors.
