Olive Boutique Guesthouse

The newly opened Olive Boutique Guesthouse is located on the south side of the island of Sao Miguel in the village of Vila Franca do Campo. The eight tastefully furnished rooms of the accommodation offer all kinds of contemporary comforts such as air conditioning and heating, very comfortable beds, and well-equipped bathrooms. The accommodation attaches great importance to sustainability. Instead of disposable plastic bottles, reusable glass bottles are used; there is also a water dispenser. From the centrally located accommodation, you can easily reach many places on foot and even leave the car behind. The former capital of the island with its picturesque, historic town center with several church buildings also offers two centrally located beaches. The locally famous “Queijadas da Vila Franca do Campo”, small, tasty cakes, are made in a factory right by the harbor - visits are welcome. The collapse crater Ilhéu da Vila Franca do Campo, located in front of the town, is visited by excursion boats, especially in the summer and fall months. The sheltered area inside the crater is ideal for snorkeling. The crater is also popular with diving enthusiasts. From the rear part of the crater, the well-known rock jumping takes place - many meters deep and into the blue Atlantic. Other activities such as fishing trips or whale watching tours, as well as marked hiking trails, start directly from Vila Franca. Or simply relax on the comfortable sun loungers on the sun terrace by the pool at your accommodation. On hot days, the pool is a great place to cool off.
