Bananas Lodge

The Bananas Lodge provides a cozy and relaxed atmosphere in a magical and familiar setting. The lodge houses two bungalows that rise above the humid ground, placed on solid blocks. The property is located on the North coast of the island of Sao Miguel, between the village of Rabo de Peixe and the town of Ribeira Grande. The bungalows are made from locally grown Cryptomeria wood and perform a stunning blend with their surroundings. The interior design of the flowing open space follows the charming rustic style through simplicity, enchantment and functionality. Large panorama windows, lightness, neutral colors, tropical design and originality combined with sublime comfort are the predominating elements of the Lodge. The sound of the ocean, the company of the birds and the scent of exotic plants and trees invite guests to enjoyable moments. In the surrounding area there are excellent beaches for swimming and surfing. Nearby restaurants provide typical Azorean cuisine with farm-to-table and straight-from-the-sea dishes.
