Alma do Pico

The accommodation is located in the midst of a 20,000 m² forest on the edge of Madalena and was opened in 2014. On the property you either have a wonderful view of the ocean, or the mountain of Pico. The architecture and equipment of the individual wooden houses in the forest allow you to immerse into nature and its elements. In the main house there is a 100 m² room which can be used for yoga or meditation, which is the passion of the Italian owners. There is also a restaurant (only open in the summer months) in the second floor that offers a wide range of Italian cuisine, including vegetarian dishes. A small nice outdoor pool invites guests to go for a swim. The accommodation is an ideal place for those who want to spend their holidays in harmony with nature.

Location (approx.): center of Madalena with ferry port 2 km, airport 8 km

Rooms: a total of 14 apartments, 12 of which are located in so-called "Butterfly Houses" with 2 wings, each accommodating 2 persons (about 27 m²); 2 apartments "Turtle" are in individual houses and are suitable for up to 3 persons (about 54 m²); all apartments provide a SMALL fully equipped kitchenette (1 hotplate, microwave, refrigerator, basic set of dishes), dining area, bedroom with 160 cm bed and bathroom; the 2 single houses additionally have a living room, in which an extendable sofa (sofa bed) is located
Meals: breakfast (served in the restaurant)
Others: due to the personal attitude of the owners there is no TV in the houses, but in the community lounge; Yoga lessons under expert guidance are available on request; the cottages are cleaned every 3 days; the restaurant is only open in summer season (usually from the beginning of May to the end of September); there are only large 160 cm wide beds and no possibility of single beds / separate beds
