Arrival on Flores. Your rental car will be waiting for you at the airport. It is about 30 minutes drive to your accommodation in the west of the island near Fajã Grande, the westernmost village in Europe. Make your first stops at the viewpoints along the way. You will be impressed! Then move into your cottage and immerse yourself in pure nature, idyll and times gone by. There are beautiful waterfalls near your accommodation, and a short walk there is absolutely worthwhile!

Discover the island with your rental car, enjoy unspoiled nature and great hiking trails or relax with a good book in the nature that surrounds you everywhere. You have plenty of time to discover the island of Flores! A must: the uninhabited highlands of the island with its beautiful crater lakes. On two days, a hiking transfer is included for you in the morning (organized by your accommodation), once to Ponta Delgada and once to Lajedo. From there, official hiking trails lead back to Fajã Grande and to "your" village. On the paths, sometimes along the cliffs, sometimes through villages, you will encounter countless natural beauties.

Reserva Florestal Natural: The two nature reserves on the Flores plateau are unfortunately often covered in clouds, but with a bit of luck this route will be even more mystical. The highlands are characterized by volcanic lakes and rugged landscapes. And when the light breaks through the clouds, it is a truly magical moment.
Canyoning: If you want to get to know the island's waterfalls and steep cliffs up close, you should try canyoning. Under the supervision of a trained guide and with safety equipment, you can abseil down cliffs and explore the landscape by climbing. If you are interested, simply contact us or your accommodation.
Santa Cruz das Flores: The small town in the center of which the airport is located invites you to stroll around. The large church and the graffiti art are particularly worth seeing.
Day trip to the neighboring island of Corvo: A day trip to the smallest island in the Azores, Corvo, is also highly recommended. Let yourself be driven up to the Caldeira and hike back to the village. It seems as if time has stood still. Not even 500 people live on the island. Your accommodation will be happy to help you book a boat to Corvo.

Enjoy a last breakfast in your village and then say "goodbye". Drive to the airport, where you will return your rental car.
