MobyDick-Tours - Whale Watching on São Miguel

For whale and dolphin enthusiasts, the Azores are a true “must-see.” Throughout the year, more than 25 different species of these fascinating marine mammals can be spotted in the waters surrounding the islands. Since whales and dolphins behave unpredictably and are constantly on the move, the route and timing of each observation trip can vary. The excursion lasts at least four hours. Because these animals live freely in the wild, sightings cannot be completely guaranteed. However, even in the unlikely event that no whales or dolphins are seen, the spectacular coastline of São Miguel offers impressive views, while visitors can still enjoy the island’s natural beauty and other wildlife.

Whale Watching
During the minimum four-hour excursion on a historic 18-meter ferry boat, guests have the opportunity to observe some of the 25 whale species that have been recorded in the Azores archipelago in a comfortable setting.

The boat offers weather-protected seating inside, comfortable benches outside, and a spectacular 360° view from the observation platform on the roof. The vessel is also equipped with toilets and a bar. Water and snacks are available during the trip. The excursion is suitable for families with small children.
