The Quinta do Moinho provides a stylish and pleasurable stay with a touch of adventure. From the property’s endless view over the Atlantic you can find gentle hills, the 2.351 meters high volcano of the island of Pico and in the distance the islands of São Jorge and Graciosa. Let yourself be introduced to the world of four-legged friends and experience a trip on gentle Lusitano horses, no riding experience is necessary. Meeting point is at 10 o’ clock at the "Quinta do Moinho" in the pretty town of Cedros. Here starts the riding excursion. During the personal trail briefing you will learn everything about your horse. A small trial run and off you go with your guide. Riding well-known paths through the evergreen nature and historic settlements to the coast, is breathtaking. On the back of your horse you can hear the surf rushing in and enjoy magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean and the neighboring islands. You ride back to the "Quinta do Moinho" on old village roads. There, upon request, a typical Azorean picnic awaits you. A well-deserved treat.
