The half-day or full-day jeep tours on Faial offer adventure rides in a comfortable vehicle on four powerful wheels. Our jeeps manage paths with ease that are impassable for normal cars, rocking and jolting inclusive. Discover places that you would have difficulty finding on your own.

Half-day tour Faial - "Caldeira and Capelinhos"
This half-day tour takes you to the two best places on the island of Faial, the centrally located collapse crater "Caldeira" and the volcano of "Capelinhos". Enjoy the views from the Caldeira viewpoint at an altitude of around 900 meters. If the weather is good, you can look into the impressive collapse crater, which has formed like a circular cauldron. Some wetland spots and a small crater at the bottom of the Caldeira as well as differently colored mosses provide beautiful photo motifs. If the view is clear, there are also magnificent views of the neighboring islands of Pico, São Jorge and sometimes even the more distant island of Graciosa. The second highlight on this trip is the "New Land", which was only created in 1957/58. Dark lava ash still covers this special place today. Several viewpoints provide enchanting views of the newly formed land and certainly offer various enchanting photo motifs. A visit to the volcano museum is optional, but highly recommended. The underground museum offers a wide range of information on geology.

Full-day tour: "Faial in one day"
With the full-day jeep tour across the island of Faial, we offer you a unique landscape and cultural experience. Our tour takes you along the volcano route to beautiful viewpoints with views of the north and south sides of the island. The new piece of land "Capelinhos", which was only created in 1957/58, is of course also part of our tour. There we will take you to the very informative, underground museum on the "New Land", which offers a wide range of information on the geology of the "New Land", the Azores and other geologically interesting places in the world. The tour then takes you to a former whaling port, a cheese dairy and the island's central collapse crater, the so-called "Caldeira", on the edge of which you will also find the highest point on the island. A walk along one of the island's typical black sandy beaches is of course also a must - on the way there, giant ferns will line our path. At lunchtime, you can enjoy a typical local lunch. On this island tour, you will get to know some exciting places that only the local islanders know about.
