Corvo adventure: day trip to the smal

Discover the smallest island in the Azores on a guided full-day excursion! In the morning, you will travel by boat (approx. 45 minutes) from Flores to Corvo (departure from the port of Santa Cruz). This gives you the opportunity to discover the north-eastern coast of Flores with its waterfalls and caves from the water. You may also encounter dolphins and flying fish along the way. Once you arrive on Corvo, you will head up to Caldeirão, the island's 3 km wide and 300 m deep volcanic crater. Descend into the center of the crater (weather conditions permitting) and experience first-hand what volcanism means for the Azores: you will be accompanied by an expert who will be happy to share his in-depth knowledge of “his” islands with you. Beautifully colored mosses, small lakes and hills, crevices and all kinds of grazing cows await you. At the end, you will return to the starting point of the hike and finally descend to the village of Vila Nova. Not even 500 people live here! Discover this deserted corner of the world, which even has a cheese dairy and a small museum, and round off this exciting day before the boat takes you back to Flores.

The activity takes place from/to Santa Cruz and lasts approx. 5 hours.
Included services: English-speaking guide, transfer from your accommodation to the port in Santa Cruz and back, boat trip to Corvo and back, transfer to the crater (Caldeirão) on Corvo and back, insurance.
Organizer's recommendation: Please remember to bring comfortable clothing, a light wind or rain jacket, hiking boots, rucksack, a change of T-shirt or shirt, swimwear, towel, sunscreen, hat, snack and drinking water.
Note: The tour regularly takes place on Monday's, Wednesday's and Saturday's from the beginning of March to the end of October. However, if you would like to do the tour on one of the other days, you can also book it as a “private tour” for a small surcharge of €25 per person.
